Staying in Zandvoort

As a well-established beach town, Zandvoort has a variety of accommodation to choose from. All through town, you’ll find guest houses with “Zimmer Frei” signs outside – Zandvoort is very popular with German tourists.

There are also the usual hotel chains found in beach towns – although to us they don’t look very appealing. And if you prefer to get back to nature, there are also several excellent camping sites within walking distance of the race track. But if none of these appeal to you, then Bloemendaal, Haarlem or even Amsterdam are great options.

The Palace Hotel in Zandvoort is somewhere you could stay for the Formula One.

Camping in Zandvoort

There are several camp sites in – and very close to – Zandvoort. The Kennemer Duincamping de Lakens has a beautiful setting in the middle of Zandvoort’s dunes and is close to the sea. They offer a variety of camping options and are exceptionally child-friendly.

Another option for camping in Zandvoort is Camping de Duinrand, which is close to the beach too. This small-scale camp site is great for kids and also has caravans to rent.

Hotels in Zandvoort

As you enter Zandvoort, you can’t miss the towering blocks of the Palace Hotel and the NH Zandvoort Hotel. Both are classic seaside hotels, close to the beach and the circuit. The Center Parcs Zandvoort beach offers family accommodation in cabins and features a tropical indoor swimming paradise called Aqua Mundo, including an Aqua Cinema. Aqua Mundo is also accessible to the paying public. We’re not huge fans of any of these, but if you want to stay in a chain hotel in Zandvoort, these are your choices. Personally, we’d stay in Haarlem or in Bloemendaal if we were choosing a branded hotel.

There are also a few smaller hotels in Zandvoort. The
